The Community Support Centre is a non-profit charity that plays a vital role in supporting the community. We bring a variety
of services close to home and strive to create seamless services within the community.

What is the history of your business?

Community Support Centre will be celebrating 40 years of service in Belle River. We started at the old municipal building on Notre Dame and then expanded to our new facility where we have a exercise courtyard, fully equipped kitchen, a stocked food pantry and board rooms for rent to smaller organizations.

Describe your staff and the customer service you provide?

We have a team of program coordinators, kitchen staff and drivers to provide the necessary services we offer. Our food services consists of the Community Food Pantry, which is a "Market-Style" approach to selecting food items that clients need for their families and Meals on Wheels where volunteers deliver hot and healthy meals to clients' homes. We provide Foot care treatments both in a clinic and home visit settings delivered by Registered Practical Nurses. Our CareLink Health Transit system provides convenient and affordable door-to-door pick up and drop off services to help get clients to medical appointments, social activities or shopping trips with ease. Our transportation department also provides medical transportations, non-urgent stretcher transportation and rides to St. Clair College's main campus. We also provide Social Services such as Visiting and Social where our volunteers either make friendly visits or security reassurance calls to our clients. We also offer Home Supports which is designed to keep seniors in their homes and remain independent, healthy and safe. We also offer a wide variety of quality, client focused, in person and virtual programming for adults 55+. The sessions are designed to keep clients safe, active and social.

We are a community oriented organization mandated to help improve the lives of the citizens of Belle River, Essex and the surrounding areas.
